Film Review: See No Evil

It’s lamentable that the WWE is trying to branch out into film production considering that many wrestlers have crossed over in the past few decades but a straight forward horror film such as this one is something you’d find on the straight to DVD shelf or on the Sci-Fi Channel, but with wrestler turned actor Kane (Glen Jacobs) as the murderous serial killer of the film it’s hard to believe that this is actually an entertaining film.
It’s no classic mind you but because of the inventive death scenes and Kane’s simply brutality to his victims it’s a film that’s born to be a midnight classic if nothing else which was probably the intention of the filmmakers to begin with. Although the script by Dan Madigan is filled with card board teenage characters it is Kane himself as Jacob Goodnight whom is the interesting character and to whom the film is really about since in the tradition of most vigilante films it is Goodnight whom is killing everyone for revenge. It’s just a little backwards since Goodnight is the villain of the film.
Although the film did poorly at the box office SEE NO EVIL is a film destined for better things on late night cable.
